Check Out This Video Of A Buffalo Lashing Out At Car 

A family on safari at  Hluhluwe-iMolozi Park in South Africa recently became aware about why it is so important to avoid getting too close to a herd of buffaloes. Tourist Vicky Schmidt from Luxembourg captured footage of an angry bull ramming the wheel arch of the family SUV. The attack was so strong, the vehicle was momentarily lifted partially of the ground. Fortunately, the driver of the SUV was able to make an escape before anything too serious happened.

Buffaloes are hardcore

Generally speaking, buffaloes tend to exhibit cattle like behaviour and seem quite docile. That perception couldn’t be further from the truth. Buffalos are in fact one of the most formidable creatures on the continent of Africa and can do some serious damage when provoked. According to Ms Schmidt the family actually deliberately approached the buffaloes seeking to push their way through the bovine roadblock.

Family not interested

Ms Schmidt said the family sitting in the SUV sought to run the buffalos off the road so they could pass through them in their vehicle. If you watch the video, you will see they did not have the slightest bit of interest in the buffalo herd and were instead taking pictures of an elephant a long way away. Ms Schmidt had the common sense to film the scene from the safety of another car who also had the wisdom not to get too close to the herd.
