Tire Loving Lion Costs Veterinarians A Lot Of Money

21st October 2018 UNDER Blog

Some veterinarians who were visiting a lion sanctuary in South Africa found their mission became incredibly expensive when one of the big cats became curious and ended up popping three of their car tires. The whole episode was captured on video by one of the veterinary workers at the Glen Garriff Conservation Lion Sanctuary.

The alpha female

The footage shows a lioness known as Lexi gnawing on the vehicle tire. According to the person who shot the video, Lexi loves car tires and has been known to chase cars because of her predilection for rubber! Apparently, Lexi is a complete character and is the alpha female of the pride and has been known to even bully the pride’s male known as Braveheart who seems to be afraid of her!  Lexi popped two of the vehicle’s tires as well as the spare located at the back which is certainly an expensive veterinary treatment indeed!
