It is no secret that elephant populations in Southern Africa face the constant threat of illegal poaching. This is a sad story and there are rarely ever any happy endings. However, there is the occasional ray of hope and this story is one of them. A group of elephants all whom survived attempts to kill them for their ivory and ended up being rescued by conservation groups started a new chapter of their lives when it was decided it was time to release the pachyderms back into the wild.

There simply cannot be anything cuter than a snow leopard cub playing the bath right? If you cannot answer that question in the affirmative then there must be something wrong with you. Check out these three snow leopard cubs enjoying themselves whilst also having a bath. These absolute cuties were born earlier in the year at Cleveland Zoo in the United States and it would appear that they seem quite confident in the water.

A rare albino gray whale was spotted swimming off the coast of Mexico. Albino whales are almost never seen so it is fortunate that someone managed to capture the sighting on video, footage of which was released by the Mexican government. The whale has been nicknamed “Gallon of Milk” and astonishingly enough this is not the first sighting.

Amazing Footage Of Humpback Protecting Diver From Shark

Nan Hauser a marine biologist who was snorkelling recently says she was protected by a 50,000-ton humpback whale from a predatory tiger shark. Ms Hauser says she was unwittingly diving in waters being patrolled by a tiger shark whilst she was attempting to interact with the humpback whale of the coast of the Cook Islands. If you watch the footage you will see the whale protectively tucking Ms Hauser underneath it’s pectoral fin, although you will not see the shark.

Recently however some lucky boat passengers in that part of the world didn’t just get the privilege of seeing false killer whales in the wild, they had the opportunity to witness what can only be described as a one in a life time even, the live birth of a calf.

A hotel manager in Vermont got a bit of a shock when he came across a bear that had wandered into the hotel and was strolling along the hallway. The quick-thinking manager pulled out his phone and captured footage of the animal as it had a good look around. Fortunately, no guests came in contact with bear, so all’s well that ends well, but things really could have taken a turn for the worse.

Back in June an innocent Pilot whale died and washed ashore on the coast of Thailand. What was the cause of death? The unfortunate whale has eaten 80 plastic bags or 17 pounds of polythene because the world’s oceans are filling up with plastic.  The poor thing stricken will illness had drifted into a canal and veterinarians rushed to provide care for the whale during its last five days. Unfortunately, the whale regurgitated a bunch of plastic bags and then died.

A woman living in Sarasota Florida was able to record footage of an intense fight between a raccoon and bobcat taking place in her very own backyard! Erin Earth uploaded the video to social media and if you watch it, you will see a stand off between a mama raccoon most likely trying to defend her three babies and the bobcat.

This hilarious video was shot at the San Antonio Zoo in Texas and shows three massive WWE wrestlers trying to take on a young lion in a furious game of tug of war. The crowd cheers the three wrestlers as they do their best to beat the young lion. The wrestlers can be seen pulling hard on the rope which fed through into the lion enclosure. On the other side of the glass you can see the young lion holding on to the rope with an iron clad grip refusing to budge even an inch despite the best efforts of the wrestlers.

Watch This Group Of Elephants Greet Their Baby After Returning From An Absence

A small herd of elephants living in a sanctuary in Thailand went completely nuts after their handlers allowed them to leave their enclosure so they could greet an orphan calf that had been rescued. The herd of elephants resides at the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai and upon their release they speed-walked their way to a barn where the baby elephant was receiving care.
